Ground Handling In Tbit LAX

With the switching of Malaysia Airlines, Asiana Airlines airport customer services in LAX to ground handling companies, what do you guys think about the future of airline ground customer service in LAX? I mention TBIT because that is the only terminal that doesnt have any airline based there, unlike other terminals

Is it better to have a ground handling company to manage an airlines' ground customer service, which is much cheaper but having the risk of lower customer service?

Or is it better to directly hire employees as a part of the airline, spending more money but possibly having better employees and thus better customer service?

Any comments are welcome, and please forgive me if this is a silly question as this is my first head post.

From a very reliabe source, OZ ground handling has been granted to Pacific Aviation, I dont know when they will start though.
